The Office of Alumni Relations in collaboration with the Management Sciences Department of DSU, organized a guest speaker session for the students of Management Sciences on Thursday, 1st February, 2024. The esteemed guest speaker for the session was 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 & 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐎𝐢𝐥 (𝐏𝐒𝐎). The session was attended by PVC, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas, Dean MSS, Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem, Dir. Alumni & Sr. Lecturer, Ms. Tehseen Azhar and other MS Dept. Faculty members.
During the insightful presentation by our esteemed guest speaker, the journey of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) was meticulously elucidated. Emphasizing its transformative turnaround, Mr. Mohsin detailed the strategic initiatives undertaken by PSO to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities in the dynamic energy sector. From enhancing operational efficiency to fostering innovation, PSO’s commitment to excellence emerged as a driving force. Mr. Mohsin highlighted pivotal milestones, shedding light on the company’s resilience in adapting to market fluctuations. The narrative underscored PSO’s pivotal role in the national energy landscape, epitomizing a resilient corporate entity that continues to evolve, thrive, and contribute significantly to Pakistan’s economic development.
Students actively engaged with enthusiasm throughout the session, benefiting from the wealth of advice shared by the seasoned professional. Their active participation underscored a keen interest in garnering insights and knowledge, demonstrating a commitment to extracting valuable lessons from the expertise offered. The PSO team has graciously extended an invitation to provide 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 and 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 to students from DSU in their upcoming hiring cycle. Additionally, in response to the request from the Dean of MSS, PSO has agreed to collaborate on a 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲, allowing for a comprehensive examination of the organization’s practices and contributing valuable insights to academic and professional arenas.
Wrapping up this enlightening session, Professor Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Dean MSS, conveyed his appreciation to Ms. Tehseen Azhar for arranging this valuable session. Dr. Bashir presented token of gratitude, in the form of memento, to the esteemed guest speaker, Mr. Mohsin Ali Mangi, expressing thanks on behalf of DSU.
